Following on from my post on histories lessons and the hyperbole thrown around about the new UAV revolution.
CASA has sucked up the "UAV revolution" hyperbole good and proper and has propped up a set of regulations at developers request that defy logic and all common sense.
They are all created to entertain the flawed proposals of the serious minority of model aircraft users who may operate UAV one day, but do not yet..
UAV developers and CASA can ignore and deny the past and soldier on with this madness but that mission is doomed, the fact is histories lesson will catch up with these fantastical notions.
And I have to say, it cant happen too soon.
And when that comes about UAV developers might all go off and try another angle at science, they can.
UAV last year, UUV instead this year perhaps .
That will leave CASA left over with a bag of UAV regulations, no-one to use them, and egg on their face for believing all the fantasy and acting on it.
CASA might like to think it can keep myself and others hanging on a thread but the fact is we only have to sit here and wait till the 101 house of cards falls in a heap.
If not this year, by next year no doubt.
