Tutor Administration
Information for casual academics who are to be employed as lecturers/tutors/demonstrators in the school of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering.
For UOS coordinators :
AMME has changed the casual academics claim system to "Sessional Based" contracts which no longer involve weekly claim form submissions. UoS coordinators are contacted a few weeks before start of semester and asked to submit their requirements for tutors/demonstrators for the upcoming semester. Please contact the AMME casual academics coordinator Dr Rod Fiford for further information.
For Tutors and other Casual Academic Staff :
Once a casual academic has been approved for appointment, an email will be sent to the casual academic outlining the process involved for appointment.
The appropriate forms will then be available for collection from the School's admin office, as detailed in the email that is sent.
The School of AMME places restrictions on the number of hours a casual academic can work; 7 hours for undergraduate

as total hours including preparation and marking.
