After more than 25 years of working at Sydney University, Lyn Kennedy left our school. She was an active member of the group and organised many social events (including important conferences, farewell parties), was in charge of the school's research publication data, etc. Rheology group prepared a farewell tea party for Lyn.  Morning tea began at 10.15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6 (prior to the Rheol. Group seminar commencing at 11 a.m.) in the Mech. Eng. Conf. Room 316. Lyn received signed cards and presents from the Rheology group and Head of the School. This is what the head of our school, Prof Assad Masri wrote about her:

"After 25 years of outstanding service to the then Department of Mechanical Engineering and now the AMME School, Mrs Lyn Kennedy is starting a new phase of her life. Her last day in the School will be on Thursday 8th May. Speaking on behalf of all of you, we would like to thank Lyn for her excellent help and friendly attitude over the years and we wish her an active, prosperous and healthy future. We'll miss you, Lyn. "

Rheology group wishes all the best for Lyn and hope to see her soon.
